“Imadi” means “With Me” in Hebrew but it is also a play on words and means “With Adi”. “Tamid” means always, hence the name which our father wrote for Adi on his grave.

The book is a collection of poetry and short texts infused with contemporary art by Keren Shani-Lifrak, Adi’s sister. The pieces were created in the months after Adi’s death.  They express deep sadness, anger, disbelief, contemplation and some political and social commentary about the war and attitudes towards Israel and Jews.

“In a way, we all (family/friends) died with Adi that day. I am not the same person. I will never be the same person I once was. The only space I longed to be in during those months was in my studio in front of paper and paint where my conversation with Adi was alive”.
