About the Author
Keren returned to the world of art in 2023 after a long hiatus dedicated to raising her children. Her journey back to creativity was profoundly influenced by the loss of her brother, Sergeant Major Adi Shani, who fell in Gaza. The book was created with a dual purpose: to preserve Adi's memory and to serve as a therapeutic tool for processing emotions during times of loss and trauma, fostering dialogue among family members about loss, whether of siblings, parents, or grandparents. Dr. Dorit Dror-Hadar and Dr. Ronen Berger contributed to this effort.

Keren, a devoted sister, daughter, mother, and wife, began her artistic journey in dance and choreography in Tel Aviv and New York. Over the years, Keren transitioned from performing arts to leadership roles in the arts and nonprofit sectors. She managed an event production company and built a successful career as a real estate professional and investor in Florida. Keren’s writing and art reflect an organic and intuitive process.
